__Reopening of the RD218 - the Gaillouneys site is now open to hang-gliding__.
__Published on 15/06/2023__
The RD218 linking La Teste de Buch to Biscarosse has reopened. The Gaillouneys hang-gliding site is now open to hang-gliding.
We would like to inform you that, following a recent survey, some pine trees located near the Sabloneys runway (the road running alongside the Pyla campsite) have died and are likely to fall onto the runway.
All access is therefore prohibited until further notice.
We will keep you informed of the progress of the safety work.
Please note that illegal parking is prohibited all along the RD 218 road. The municipality regularly issues parking tickets.
The Dune group, made up of members of the LTPVL board of directors, the FFVL, Atlantic Delta and professional paragliders, are working with the sub-prefect to get access to the site back on track.
The LTPVL club asks its members to comply with these instructions, to enable full resumption under the best possible conditions.
Thank you for your understanding.
