Description
There are two take-offs, the first is behind the cable car station of Belvedere on the ridge facing the Marmolada. This take-off (very technical, only for experienced pilots!) is used mainly with light winds from the south and southeast and in the early hours of thermal activity until 11.00am. After this time there is a gradual strengthening of the breeze in the valley of Fassa, so use a take-off facing West-Northwest. You can find this out from the south exit of the cable car and then turn right and follow the ridge to the windsock.
If you are coming from Pordoipass, park your car at the Pass and follow the path up to number 601 for 'col dei Rossi' for about an hour.
In winter is not advisable to take off from here, it is better to takeoff from col Rodella.
