Remarks
Numerous launches availiable when its stable and light you can park down below and hike up the ridge facing WSW and launch from the top. Or when its more SSW, walk the ridge to the darker lava rock side to the north and there's a great launch spot that's better oriented .When the wind is good, you can park below and launch from halfway up the ridge and get up just fine. There's flags at the launches and poles all over. Also, there is a 4x4 road around back to drive up for hanggliders. Biggish rocks and sandy. Trucks OK, but AWD Subarus, not sure.

When the wind is south, watch for the rotor section that looks like a big corner pocket . Also, good local advice is that in the summer and spring, wait till after 5:00 p.m to launch . In the summer, a little before sunset, launch and watch that magic air amaze you till dark.
