Beautiful soaring area for south-west & south winds.
The special highlight is the wide compression zone, which creates an extremely laminar wind that carries you high above the city.
The take-off site is easily accessible by car & parking spaces are available. Top landings are possible for very experienced pilots. Beginners should land on the beach!
ATTENTION!!!
There is a hotel to the left of the launch site that generates strong rotors. NEVER fly too low behind the hotel!
Sesimbra is also one of the few areas of Portgal where cars are often broken into. Do not leave any objects lying around and watch out for strangers peering into cars.
