The site features three launch areas (see the inflight overview) that cater for slightly different wind directions. All launch sites are netted over so snagging is rare. The two most popular launch sites are free from obstructions and have gentle grassy slopes. The third (North 1) is steeper and has trees either side as you take off.
You can do a hike and fly. It starts just south (300m) of the planetarium. The hike is to the east.
At the age of 59 a moderate physical condition, backpack of 20 kilo’s plus, and temperature of 24 celcius it took me 1 hour 50 minutes to get up there. Be aware to take walking sticks, which I didn’t. The path has at steep climb and descents, a guiding rope to hold on. The path is 95% in the shade. No toilets or restaurants are available. Total distance is 3,5 km climb total is 500 m and total descent is 100m.
North 1 (which i used) is large netted and open. A lot of tandems flights took place. Wait for a spot and go. No license, radio or fee is applicable.
East 2 and south 3 I saw from the air. But they are a bitt lower. Mainly west till south wind directions.
Access to the three spots can be done from landing area by walking up there or ask for a lift. Since i walked from the planetarium i do not know if they give you a lift up there.
People speak seldom English.
If you are there it is a very nice place place to fly with a great view. See my smile!

Public transport is almost to the landing field. From landing field to city take a cab to station Asin (south of landing) +- €10 then the train to the city €5. From Asin they have buses but not too often. If you want a cab from landing area to Asin, ask at one of the tandem companies. They are friendly and willing to help if they speak English.
Wait your turn
