It is illegal to take off from the beach and fly over residential areas. Danish police will take serious actions if you do not comply with this. Only fly from Furreby and to the north. Please be aware that the dunes are protected wildlife zone, so try not to destroy the grass that grows in the dunes here. The dune is approximately 300-400 meters wide, so it’s not a particularly large area for flying. If you can soar to a significant height, you might manage to fly along the length of the dune. However, the surrounding landscape is predominantly covered by trees and residential areas. One-third of the dune is open towards the front with a small strip of beach, while the remaining two-thirds are bordered by a row of tall trees between the dune and the sea. These trees can generate potentially hazardous rotors, so caution is advised. The best takeoff spot is on the section of the dune that is open to the front, located on the left side when facing the sea.
