Aerology: sea breeze, thermal and thermodynamic.
Site orientation: West
If the northerly wind is too strong, you'll be downwind of a hedge of trees that borders the first few minutes of the flight. Keep a close eye on the sea from take-off and in flight to make sure there's no wind in the bay of Saint-Leu. This is the most frequently used site, with a club shuttle every 30 minutes. The bus stop is just a stone's throw from the landing area. From student to competitor, there's something for everyone. Flying in small thermals, you need to work on your technique if you want to stay aloft for long. If there's not enough altitude to reach the official landing site (beach, Kelonia), there's an emergency landing site below the N1.
