**SE, S, SW, W Launch:**
Launch near the upper ski lift station. The usual take-off is a grassy area a few metres west of the station with space for preparation.
In light NW winds, launches are sometimes still possible here when thermal cycles come through the top of Nova Hola. In stronger NW winds, expect rotor from Zvolen, the higher peak to the northwest.
For E to SE winds, walk a few metres east down the ski slope to the area near the wooden fence and prepare/take off there.
During ski season, keep clear of the ski slope and do not obstruct operations.
**N, NE, E Launch:**
WARNING: Unofficial and not recommended! Not many pilots fly this direction. You must go under the NE fence from the ski lift station to access this site. It's soarable in stable conditions, but since it's in the shadow people typically fly around east of Nova Hola to search for thermals around Donovaly. Note that there are rotors on this launch, and you must fly over the ski lift cables.
Ski lift is operational throughout winter ski season and runs every half an hour in the summer. It's about 1 hour hike during spring and autumn.
