In recent years Alp Scheidegg has developed into the most attractive flying area in the greater Zurich area. The Delta Club Zurich Oberland, which has been in charge of the flying area for more than 35 years, maintains an excellent infrastructure with a spacious take-off meadow right next to the Alp Scheidegg restaurant. 4 spacious landing sites are available in the valley, which allow deltas like paragliders to land safely. In Hueebli, the most frequented landing place, there are free parking spaces rented by the club. On Alp Scheidegg, there are signposted pilot parking spaces in the immediate vicinity of the starting point. These have to be used, restaurant parking spaces must not be used for parking vehicles. Due to the limited number of parking possibilities, car pools must be formed.
In order to be able to meet the different needs of the pilots, the club offers one:
One-day ticket for CHF 10, one
Annual ticket for CHF 50 as well as the previous one
Club membership in DCZO for NEW CHF 80 (incl. JK) per year. (from 1.1.2013)
The latter offers participation in the attractive club life with various events and further training. The respective tickets can be purchased at the Restaurant Alp Scheidegg and from club members present.
The flight area Alp Scheidegg is located in the middle of the TMA 2 Duebendorf, which is PERMANENT ACTIVE and whose LIMIT LIMIT is 1700m above sea level. This means that the maximum allowed altitude of 1700m ue.M. for hang glider pilots must be kept to, otherwise the closure of the airfield will threaten! At certain times (Sat/Sun, MilOff) the glider flight space Bachtel East Tel. 044 954 12 52 (Serviceleiter Speck-Fehraltorf) can be activated. See also the notice on the starting place.
During the vegetation period you are only allowed to land in the designated part of the alpine meadow.
