From the top of Monte Crocione, or if want to walk some meters higher, also from Monte Tremezzo is OK.
Easy grassy field
If you plan on flying to Bellagio carry an inflatable pfd in case you land in the water.
Our group flew from Tremezzo to Bellagio and landed on the WWII airport. I recommend a LZ visit before flying. There is a power line running across the LZ. But it's not a big deal, because the runway is very long. Launch is 1598m, and we arrived at 1,000m over Bellagio LZ. You will find a nice little bar down (La Bellagina Ristorante Pizzeria) the street too.
Drive to Rifugio Venini, park, then hike 2 km or 36 minutes to Alpe di Mezzegra, where you can see two circles in the earth below you. That is launch.
No rules, but recommend talking to Fabio for ride and site intro.
