Mt Buffalo

NE Wooden ramp for HG, set-up area 5 GS-large, Access road to the Lookout PP, 110m path to the SP For GS there is a short, brutal and extremely extreme reverse launch site, also directly on the cliff ! HG Advanced, Int HG under supervision, PG5 Minimum pilot rating is advanced for this site, however intermediate rated pilots supervised by an advanced pilot may launch. Action will be initiated against pilots launching illegally. A powerline cuts the corner of the 'Burrs' paddock to power the toll station. If you land anywhere else in the valleys, keep out of tobacco fields and, as always, watch for powerlines, fences, etc. Remember that this is mountain thermal country, and winds are unpredictable in landing areas. Tawonga Gap

NE Forest aisle SP only 1 GS-large but with carpet. Access to SP on narrow tarred road ~400m, called Tawonga Gap Track, goes to Lookout Powerline. PG4 / HG Intermediate The LZ can't be seen from launch. High tension powerlines run along this side of the valley and are visible from launch. Near Mt Beauty, 220km NE of Melbourne. Overlooking Tawonga. To find the launch travel the road between Bright and Mt Beauty at the very top of the ridge crossing the road switchbacks and heads down the other side of the ridge. At the switch back, take the track up the hill located right on the blind corner. Be careful driving in or out of this track. The launch is located approx 1km up on the left of the track.
