Access via PRIVATE DFCI runway, reserved for those entitled to use it (FFVL-licensed pilots, club members, local school, etc.). The CUGES LES PINS take-offs are all located in the Bouches du Rhône region. As such, only agreements or leases signed with the landowners allow us to use the DFCI trails to access them. Motor vehicle traffic is forbidden all year round on the DFCI in the Bouches-du-Rhône. If you wish to climb to the take-off point, contact the local paragliding club or school, which will lend you a pass to avoid being penalized by the ONF. General orientation: east to south. Dangerous in N, NW, NE and W winds. Favourable in easterly, easterly-southeasterly, southerly-southeasterly and southerly winds. In breezy conditions and in the absence of a strong meteorological wind, flight is possible mid-morning. However, the south-westerly sea breeze kicks in quite quickly from mid-day, and more or less early depending on the season, due to the proximity of the sea, making the flight turbulent and inadvisable. Take-offs are fairly short, but present no particular difficulties. Landing is generally in line with the DFCI runway, except in the eastern sector, where you may have to land perpendicular to it. A prefectoral decree regulates access to the Bouches du Rhône massifs during the summer period from June 1 to September 30. Then take the Chemin des Solans to a small roundabout, where you turn left to stay on the Chemin des Solans. At the very end of this path, at the end of the tarmac road, turn right onto a dirt DFCI track which leads to a dirt parking lot with two large green cisterns.
