General orientation: east to south.
Dangerous in N, NW, NE and W winds.
Favourable in easterly, easterly-southeasterly, southerly-southeasterly and southerly winds.
In breezy conditions and in the absence of a strong meteorological wind, flight is possible mid-morning.
However, the south-westerly sea breeze kicks in quite quickly from mid-day, and more or less early depending on the season, due to the proximity of the sea, making the flight turbulent and inadvisable.
Take-offs are fairly short, but present no particular difficulties.
Landing is generally in line with the DFCI runway, except in the eastern sector, where you may have to land perpendicular to it.
A prefectoral decree regulates access to the Bouches du Rhône massifs during the summer period from June 1 to September 30.
During the orange period, access is free, during the red period it is restricted to between 6:00 and 11:00 am, and during the black period, all access is strictly forbidden and punishable by a fine.
