The west launch site is large and somewhat undulating. But it offers plenty of space for several gliders at the start. The north starting point is narrower and steeper. Here disciplined pilots can only lay out 2 gliders at the same time. The easiest way to find thermals is from late in the morning, mainly to the right in front of the west launch site. If the thermals are good, you can mainly take routes towards Pinzgau. Steep south launch site on the south side of the chapel. The grass cone of the Hohe Salve offers excellent flight conditions. Early in the year you can find thermal updrafts here. Take the mountain railway from Söll or Hopfgarten to the Hohe Salve. All starting places are in the area of the summit. Please use only the new official landing site! This is located approx. 500m from the valley station Söll, approx. 80m west of the lowest parking lot, and is marked by a clearly visible wind vane.
