High above the Arve valley, Le Môle is a superb vantage point from which to admire the entire Mont-Blanc range, and enjoy a 360° panorama. The altitude is low, but it's possible to make magnificent flights in the direction of Les Brasses and Marcelly, even in autumn, when it's not uncommon to have very good thermal conditions due to its southerly orientation. It's also an extraordinary place for soaring, and it's rare to be truly alone, whatever the season.
Wide grassy slope just below the summit. Beware of thorny trees. The most obvious orientation is SW but it is possible to take off from the South or West by moving on both sides of the coombe. Be careful not to get caught on the other side of the ridge if the wind is strong at the top. Don't hesitate to descend a little on the slope if you have any doubt about your level.
From Chez Béroud, take the forest road (rural road of the Club Alpin) then quickly find a fork in the road heading east, which you follow until you reach the Petit Môle. Take advantage of the unobstructed view of the Arve valley, before continuing towards the summit. The forest road becomes a well marked ascending path that goes first to the N, then quickly to the NW by crossing under the summit. Then find the ridge that leads to the summit of Le Môle. This ridge is not difficult but the path is sometimes steep.
