Monte Cornizzolo, easy south facing launch directly at the road where the shuttle drops you off (Risparmio), or walk 10 minutes west to the summit to a much bigger launch (Centrale) used for competitions
As the name suggests, this launch site saves long approaches: it is located directly below the point where the road bends to the south. It is a moderately steep, long meadow without turbulence etc.
When the thermals start, the wind alternately comes from the front right or front left of the valley.
There is an ideally inclined ramp for hang gliders at the start. Draw the attention of the glider pilots below to your launch by shouting loudly.
It is not possible to drive up with your own car.
The two local clubs "Aero Club Monte Cornizzolo" and "Cornizzolo in volo" have licenses and each operate a shuttle service.
Hang glider pilots should contact Antonio (Cornizzolo in volo) on +39 339 504 1615 and ask to be added to the WhatsApp group for the shuttle.
This shuttle departs from Landplatz 1, which makes LP 1 ideal for kites. It also takes kites. However, most gliders take the Aero Club shuttle from LP 2.
If you arrive in a group, you could organize your own shuttle from LP 2 to LP 1 and land at LP 2.
