Rigi Paragliding Sites

The starting place is on a hilltop just below the Kulm-Weg. After take-off, some hills have to be flown over. Fly a glider with the best glide ratio and as soon as you have enough height fly over the abyss to the left. 1- and 2-seater Altitude 1775m

From Goldau with the rack railway to Rigi Kulm. The starting place is a small meadow. Attention: In the northern part, the meadow becomes steeper and steeper and runs out into a wall step. In the right part, on the other hand, starting breaks are possible. 1- and 2-seater Altitude 1652m

Take the cable car from Weggis to Kaltbad. From there walk to the launch site. The take-off site is a small, short field near the cross. Attention: Only take off in a northerly direction! The Edelweissmatte Sued launch site is available for take-offs in a southerly direction: From here approx. 100 in a westerly direction Attention: No top landings!!! Both starting points are at the end of the ski lift and can be reached in 5 minutes from the Staffelhöhe station or in 20 minutes from the Kaltbad mountain station in the direction of Chänzeli. Very challenging without upwind support. The start to the south is easy, but you may only take off outside of the alpine pastures. A sign indicates whether the meadow may be entered or not. From Weggis by cable car to Kaltbad. From there on foot to the launch site. The launch site is a large flat meadow. If the "Prohibition" board is open, then it must not be started! Keep the passage closed at all times! Start window: - Altitude 1560m

From Viznau by cable car to Hinterbergen. From there on foot via Dossen, Scheidegg to the starting point. The launch site is a narrow short launch site. 1- and 2-seater Altitude 1680m

From Viznau by cable car to Hinterbergen. From there walk in the direction of Dossen-Scheidegg to the starting point. The starting place is a meadow in the middle. Altitude 1370m

From Viznau by cable car to Hinterbergen. The launch site is a small steep meadow. Attention: Please do not use during the vegetation period. only start when the meadow has been mown 1- and 2-seater Altitude 1020m

From Kraebel by cable car to Scheidegg. From there walk in the direction of Lauerz to the starting point. The launch site is a steep meadow in a forest aisle. Altitude 1370m

Start on the huge summit meadow with a view of Lake Zug, wonderful evening flight... Altitude 1526m

By car from Gersau to the Gaetterli Pass. From there, walk along the mountain path towards Hochflue and up to the launch site. The launch site is a steep grassy slope in a forest aisle. Steep mountain meadow, only a few meters below the summit rocks with the iron ladder. Watch out for wind! If in doubt, you can start further down. 1- and 2-seater Altitude 1550m
