The site of Montlambert is known worldwide to be good by north, even strong.
All the schools of the region and many solo pilots go there as soon as the north weather is too important to fly in Vercors, Chartreuse or on Annecy.
- Speed limit on the access road at 40, or even 30 km/h maximum, both up and down;
- parking is mandatory on the parking lot before the hamlet of Montlambert, no vehicle should go further.
- If the parking lot is full, park along the road below the parking lot, on the downstream side.
- It is forbidden to go up to the deco by car, you have to go on foot from the parking (10mn walk).
- If you go up by foot from the landing, see the itinerary and the instructions on the Indians' website: you should not cross the field below the landing, but go around the hamlet.
- Be careful, the road is extremely narrow in some places, making crossings difficult or even impossible.

The flying area with the torture pole is often called it in the German linguistic usage. In Montlambert, the south orientation allows an early start. To a certain extent, the airfield is shielded from the north wind. About 4 years ago a parking lot was built in front of the village for the pilots in order to defuse the conflict potential with the residents. The Flying Indians Club asks the pilots for land discipline. In September there are restrictions in the flight operations due to hunting on weekends. Montlambert also serves as an entry point for flights towards Chamonix. As a stopover to the next airfield, you can jump into the cold water at the Lac de Carouge. There the thirsty pilot finds a nice beach café. (Text Kai Ehrenfried)

Lots of pilots come here, we thank you to drive slowly and respect the people living on the road to the launch area. This site is fragile! If people complain too much we might lose the right to fly here. So don't unload your car at the turning point on top. Do it when parked further down the road. Respect nature, the people and regulations!
